This was out of context and what was said was that it was arguably preferable to allow children with incurable and insufferably painful diseases a humane end rather than force upon them a life of incurable misery.<br/><br/>When confronted over his misinterpretation, David Wolcott decided to draw a parallel between those children and the victims of the Sandy Hook shootings, asking whether it was therefore more humane to have killed them earlier. Those children were not ill, they were not facing endless days of incurable agony - yet David cannot see how this is different?<br/><br/>This must be one of the sickest, most grotesquely vile and offensive comments I have read in a long while.
